In order for Claros to run properly, our meteorologists have had to develop it to clean, process and normalise data from a number of disparate sources. Given the tendency for even highly qualified meteorologists to use differing methodologies for capturing and recording data, this has been a huge task. In effect, this means the Advanced Long Range platform has access to the first global data set of fully comparable data. Instead of keeping this data for just Claros to use in the background, we make it available to our customers as a powerful statistical model.

For reference versus our predictions, we offer a view of averages and probability against parameters that uses all available historical data to build a picture of what ‘normal’ looks like for your location(s) and date(s). This can be viewed as total historical data or last ten years to adjust for climate change (and other climatological) trends.

You can also view daily weather measurements for the past 5 years.
